Using the size of the smart car in a parkering idea is really overdone. But they made it work this time. Special built hardly ever fails.

Will they ever stop making epic stuff?!

Or it at least what can really make or break an ad. Take this Mazda ad. Fucking boring visuals, so old school that it hurts. The tagline is irrelevant and I don’t see how it has anything to do with what came before. But the music saves it all (except for the tag line). And then it makes it more OK that there is nothing new about the visual aspect.

It’s very ady, but there are a few nice lines like the end in the #4.
Always relevant because using a manufacturers official service outlets and original parts is a very important business for the company. The film is really well-made and looks great. It does make all other mechanics look like their terrible people, which is a shame.
It’s not a great success. But it has elements that – too me – are pure genius. Like his lisp. And some awkward break scenes.
I’m a big fan of MINI. Both the car and the advertising. I think I’m a big fan of these TVC’s as well. They have a very British feel and are really low packed with action, which may be right or wrong. It may not highlight the fun car experience, but I guess the Countryman is a bit different from the the smaller ones like Cooper S.
